Bordeaux's sub regions

Bordeaux is the largest wine region in France with its emblematic name conjuring a single image, wine. Deep in the historic and beautiful region lies some of the most renowned and prestigious wineries on the face of the planet. Famously, Bordeaux is divided into the left bank and the right bank, with over three dozen separately regulated appellations, with hundreds of wineries to choose from. From a humble wine tasting with a sommelier, to a decadent dining experience in a chateau, why wait to visit?

Left Bank

This revered region, renowned for its 1855 classification is one for the collectors and enthusisists. A short journey from Bordeaux's city centre will take you to the Medoc region, where you will surrounded by the quiet and quaint French countryside and riverside towns. Famous municipalities include: Saint Estephe, Pauliac, Saint Julien and Margaux, all eagerly awaiting your arrival.

Take the time to sit back, relax and indulge on their illustrious full bodied and velvety Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

Right Bank

Historic, beautiful, magnificent and pulchritudinous. All words to described the humble right bank's regions, located just a stepping stone away from the Dordogne River. The small cluster of exclusive red wine regions are divided into Saint Emilion, Pomerol and Fronsac and produce only ten percent of Bordeaux wines.

Despite this, they make up for it in the quality of their wines, famous for its ability to provide the world with their soft, fruit and rich Merlot blends.
